Short and long term life vision for entrepreneurs
What does having a life vision mean?
It means to no longer live by default, to no longer go with the flow or do everything based on the desires of others, on what scares you, on criticism or a picture-perfect life that is presented to you and that you “must” lead. STOP. Now is the time to take control. Imagine that you are detaching yourself from everything that is currently part of your life and you decide to create your own life vision which gives you everything you have ever wanted.
We are talking about:
a. A business idea that can turn you into a millionaire.
b. A successful business that helps you earn money while sleeping.
c. A feeling of financial security.
d. All of the above.
You’ll say that it’s obvious. We all want all of the above.
Yes, you are completely right. But how many do you think will get what they want?
Let’s take it to an even deeper level: how many do you think will do anything to get all of the above?
How many do you think will find the key to success?
Everyone talks about it, but no one offers a practical solution, a phenomenal „secret” that will help you achieve all that you have dreamed of. Interesting enough, there is no universal formula that will help you have a successful business overnight. We are talking about a business that will offer you long-term financial freedom and financial security.

It’s just an acronym that can be your daily reminder of what you need to do. More specifically, what motivates you can offer you inspiration and the desire to get there through work. Without work, you can’t reach your destination. Surely, you have heard about the phrase „work smart”. This does not involve the lack of work but finding a strategy that involves minimum effort for maximum results. It’s even one of the principles that marketing operates on.
Short term vision and how it can affect your long term success
Many of the people that decide to become entrepreneurs limit themselves to short-term earnings. Because they focus on a short-term vision, they limit themselves to the here and now. They don’t begin by building a long-term strategy that will help them gain a lot more money, which will allow them to live their life as they have always wanted. They hide behind excuses like:
„I need money now. The bank won’t wait for me to become successful so that I can pay my mortgage.”
It’s perfectly true. Banks wait for no one.
No one else will pay your mortgage or your bills. But what if you wouldn’t have a loan that you need to pay off? What if you would see a home or car that you like and buy them right then and there?
„I want to earn money now because I don’t know what happens tomorrow. I believe in what I can hold in my hands right now.”
Again, nothing untrue here either. But, because you do not know what will happen in the future, it would be more useful to have a long term vision that will lead you towards financial security. Anyone that has become successful will tell you that whatever they have accomplished was done over time and that they did not focus on their short time vision, but on a long term vision or where they wanted to go.
How can you have a short and long-term vision that is built on common ground and can help you have a successful business and unlimited financial earnings?
1. Think about a final destination. A greater goal. A long-term vision.
„I want to travel the world without worrying about money.” Is it big enough? No.
„I want to have my own private jet.” How about now? It’s not big enough.
„I want to leave a legacy that will last for generations.” Period.
2. Write it everywhere. Use it as a wallpaper on your phone.
Write it on a piece of paper and stick it to your fridge, to your mirror, everywhere. It’s easy to lose yourself in a list of priorities that matter to you now, but that will not matter 5 years from now. You won’t remember that you were unable to cook two different meals or that you did not manage to post 3 times this week on Facebook for your online business. But, the thought and feeling that you need to do something great will still be there.
3. Think about what you need to do to get there.
Put all of your ideas on paper, even if they don’t seem to be close to what you are looking for. Leave them there. You never know when you will need to find a way to reinvent yourself or take your business to the next level. Maybe one of these thoughts that you have written down will take you one step closer to the legacy that you want to leave to the people that will live after you are no longer here.
4. Accept failure, but not defeat.
Problems, the feeling of failure, and even rock bottom are inevitable. OK. It’s awful and you have lost the will to carry on. Find it! There are so many people that have dealt with failure countless times, but they did not stop until they saw their name written on a school or on any building they wanted it on.
5. Whatever you do, do it with your long term vision in mind.
You know where you want to go. Don’t let anything and anyone stop you. Most importantly, don’t let fear get in your way. Some are afraid of failure, others of success, others of what people will say or of taking risks. Success does not come without risk or sacrifice.
6. Do it for others. When you do something for yourself, it is so easy to find excuses.
„I’m tired today. I’ll deal with it tomorrow.” „I have so much to do that I can’t find any time to do this today.” The best part is that when you are working to give others a better perspective on life, you work 10 times harder. Do it for your family, for your children, for your grandchildren, for the underprivileged, for the ones that don’t have a voice.
7. Ask for help.
Even if this involves getting out of your comfort zone and investing in the experience and abilities of professionals that know exactly how to help you, focus on long-term vision. It is worth it? Certainly, yes!
