INTRODUCERE<\/h4>

Every time I meet new people (like the owners from Inspire Studio), I can tell right away if we resonate or not. What I like most is that I always feel the same energy when I listen to the recordings I make during the interview. It’s like we’re having the same conversation all over again, only now I’m much more attentive to the tone, the way the conversation flows, how much we laugh…and every time I start writing, I’m grateful for the good feeling I get and feel, with each story, of each entrepreneur who allows me into their world.<\/p>

When I sat down at the table with my caramel latte and met the dynamic duo, I didn’t know what to expect. What I can say is that I smiled and laughed heartily throughout our encounter. What can I say – cool girls, cool people.<\/p>

Ce trebuie s\u0103 \u0219tii despre Inspire Studio?<\/h4>

Did we resonate? For sure. Did I only talk about entrepreneurship? Clearly not. Luckily we each had a full schedule, otherwise, if you were looking for us, you’d still find us laughing over coffee and sharing some good stories.<\/p>

Oana and Alexandra have been lovingly and committedly owning and developing Inspire Studio for 7 years – a beauty, remodeling and inspiration salon for clients who want to make better, healthier choices. More recently, they have also launched Inspire Bio, an online shop for those who rely on organic products to care for their skin, their family, their baby or even their clients (for salons).<\/p>

They complement and support each other. When one lacks motivation, the other has it for both of them. When one doesn’t find solutions, the other comes up with ideas and so on. The interview was so amazing, I’m so glad I recorded it. I’ve never met business partners who complete each other’s ideas! For me, it was a “wow” experience.<\/p>

Manu: Cum te-ai decis s\u0103 \u00eencepi aceast\u0103 afacere?<\/h4>

Oana: M-am al\u0103turat echipei Inspire Studio \u00een 2015. P\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een momentul respectiv, am fost sales trainer la Avon, pe o regiune a Rom\u00e2niei \u0219i am mai lucrat ca director de zon\u0103, timp de 5 ani la Provident. \u00centr-o sear\u0103 de Ajun, \u00een 2015, am decis cu Alexandra s\u0103 ne ocup\u0103m de acest business \u00eempreun\u0103. Ea avea deja salonul de 2 ani.<\/em><\/p>

Alexandra: \u00cen 2013 a \u00eenceput Inspire Studio. L\u0103sasem un job \u00een v\u00e2nz\u0103ri pentru c\u0103 \u00eemi doream s\u0103 fac altceva. Ne-am g\u00e2ndit c\u0103 Sibiul are nevoie de un loc \u00een care s\u0103 \u00eenve\u021be mai multe despre un stil de via\u021b\u0103 s\u0103n\u0103tos, s\u0103 \u00eenceap\u0103 s\u0103 pun\u0103 mai mult pre\u021b pe grija fa\u021b\u0103 de sine din toate punctele de vedere.<\/em><\/p>

O: Ini\u021bial, salonul era orientat pe partea de remodelare corporal\u0103, nutri\u021bie, alimenta\u021bie. Ulterior, datorit\u0103 cererilor clien\u021bilor no\u0219tri, am ad\u0103ugat \u0219i servicii: masaj, manichiur\u0103, coafor \u0219i make-up.<\/em><\/p>

A: We realised, along the way, that remodeling devices will never make up for human hands. There needs to be that human connection, and machines help, but they don’t completely solve a problem.<\/em><\/p>

O: You also have to address the body’s needs. It’s advisable to drink more water, be more careful with your diet, relax areas where stress builds up.<\/em><\/p>

M: Ai avut vreun moment \u00een care te-ai g\u00e2ndit s\u0103 renun\u021bi?<\/h4>

A: Aproape \u00een fiecare zi (r\u00e2de).<\/em>.<\/p>

O: Some of the time, yes. It’s normal to think about it, when you’re trying your best, but things don’t work out the way you want them to. There are a lot of hurdles and rules that are imposed – some of which have no logical explanation. I mean, I bought a flat and paid instalments on it for 2 years because of bureaucracy.<\/em><\/p>

A: But at the end of the day, you remember why you started your business…<\/em><\/p>

O: …And the feedback we get from people (colleagues and clients) helps us see that we are in the right field and doing the right thing.<\/em><\/p>

M: Care e cea mai mare provocare cu care ai de-a face, ca antreprenor, \u00een domeniul t\u0103u?<\/h4>

O: Recrutarea.<\/em><\/p>

A: Personalul. Oamenii pe care \u00eei recrutezi pentru a fi al\u0103turi de tine.<\/em><\/p>

O: Finding the right people. We’ve learned over the years not to compromise, not to hire people just to fill a position. I mean, you buy everything you need for a job: materials, equipment, etc. and you find someone who wants to come, but along the way you realise they’re not the right fit, they’re not doing quality work, the customer doesn’t come back. These kinds of experiences have taught us exactly what we need to look for in a person to make the right choice in the first place.<\/em><\/p>

M: What do you do on days when you can’t find the motivation for the work you have to do (to keep your business afloat and help it grow)?<\/h4>

A: Either we go on holiday, when we see that things don’t work anymore…<\/em><\/p>

O: ....Lu\u0103m o pauz\u0103 (r\u00e2de).<\/em><\/p>

A: Or if it’s not vacation time, we usually spend time in nature. We go for a walk, to Muzeul Satului, to recharge.<\/em><\/p>

O: The truth is that when your motivation goes away, it goes away because you’re faced with a certain situation and it’s no use fussing, because until you take care of yourself a bit and find your peace of mind, you don’t get the right ideas.<\/em><\/p>

A: Don’t give up. There’s always a solution. You have to stop looking solely at the problems and look for solutions.<\/em><\/p>

O: We work in a service business, so without quality people, you can’t do anything.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

M: Care consideri c\u0103 este cea mai notabil\u0103 diferen\u021b\u0103 \u00eentre a fi angajat sau antreprenor?<\/h4>

O: There are some serious differences (laughs). It’s hard to be an entrepreneur, although people think it’s super easy. You have the biggest responsibility. When you’re employed, you go to work and then you go home. Even if you get involved. But when it’s your own business, where you make a living, and 15 other people depend on you – when you draw the line, you have to make sure there’s enough for everyone.<\/em><\/p>

A: Even if you’ve delegated more of your duties, you have to keep in mind the responsibility you have for those who work alongside you, as well as the clients who come into the salon. You are responsible for absolutely everything that happens there. I wouldn’t allow myself to put my phone on silent. I’ve had all kinds of situations – for example, I got a call at 7 am that a pipe burst in the salon. Within two seconds, you’re there.<\/em><\/p>

M: How would you characterize your business – Inspire Studio, in a word (except “quality”)?<\/h4>

A: Dinamism!<\/em><\/p>

O: Fain!<\/em><\/p>

M: Ce sfaturi ai oferi unui antreprenor \u00een devenire \u0219i unuia care e la \u00eenceput de drum?<\/h4>

O: F\u0103 un pas \u00een spate, \u00een primul r\u00e2nd! S\u0103 se uite la fiecare provocare din toate perspectivele. S-ar putea, dac\u0103 te ui\u021bi dintr-un anumit unghi, s\u0103 nu mai par\u0103 a\u0219a de neagr\u0103 \u0219i s\u0103 \u00eei g\u0103se\u0219ti solu\u021bia.<\/em><\/p>

A: C\u00e2nd face primul pas, s\u0103 se g\u00e2ndeasc\u0103 foarte bine de ce face lucrul respectiv. S\u0103 se apuce doar de ceva care \u00eei place \u00eentr-adev\u0103r, \u00een care se reg\u0103se\u0219te.<\/em><\/p>

MY CONCLUSION – Support Small Businesses<\/h4>

After talking with Oana and Alexandra, I realized that when you go on a certain path, whether it’s the personal or professional side of life, it’s important to have a confident smile. It’s even more important to keep it along the way, no matter what obstacles you face.<\/p>

And, if we’re talking about partnerships, when you run a business with one or more other people, with whom you learn to communicate effectively and with whom you work hard to achieve a common goal – the result is truly magnificent. Many focus on the fact that when you have a partner, you have to share the profit. Ok, but what about the challenges, hardships, expenses, good times and not-so-good times?<\/p>
